This song appears twice on the soundtrack for One Too Many, Babb’s movie on alcoholism: once by the Harmonaries (the album’s inside cover claims “there is no other vocal sextet like them in the nation”) and again by young Ginger Prince (”Hollywood’s most talented child actress.”) Here, I used the Harmonaries’ version as a base for my interpretation.

There is an opening verse that I cut which goes like this:

The merry-go-round is a lot of fun. So is a ferris wheel. Munching a steaming red hot on a bun sure has a lot of appeal.
